Customer Case: Raisio

Raisio strengthens cyber security with SASE solution

Background

Raisio Oyj manufactures healthy foods and processes Finnish agricultural raw materials for consumers tables. The company is particularly well known for its Elovena® and Benecol® brands. Raisio has a strong international position, and its products are exported to over 40 countries.

The collaboration between Raisio and Secure Cloud began in spring 2025, when the companys international expansion, increase in remote working, and transition to cloud-managed devices increased the demands on cyber security.

“We run the group IT with a fairly small team, so we need help from partners,” says Janne Mäntylä, Senior System Administrator at Raisio.

Goals

“In addition to Finland, Raisio operates in the Benelux countries, Poland, and the UK, among others. We are targeting new markets, so it is important that we can acquire and manage new endpoints flexibly and securely.”

The company was looking for an alternative to a traditional VPN solution because it wanted to strengthen security and make everyday life easier for users. Users found the VPN solution cumbersome because it required separate login and there were occasional problems with connectivity. There were also challenges in testing the alternative solution, which is why Mäntylä decided to look into other suppliers.

“Secure Clouds service combines functionality and ease of implementation. The price tag is also right for us. We were able to implement the solution smoothly in our environment, and it was positive that we got off to a flying start,” says Mäntylä.

Solution

Secure Cloud implemented a Proof-of-Concept trial of the Netskope SASE (Secure Access Service Edge) solution for Raisio in the spring, and the solution was rolled out in early autumn.

“Secure Clouds service has filled the gap we had very well. When you dont hear anything from users, its usually a good sign. We often received reports of problems with the previous product, but now its been quiet. Netskopes software has worked very well and feels right for us.”

Mäntylä says that the solution has exceeded their expectations. The stability of the operation has been a big plus, and its use has also been expanded to include special tools for administrators and certain devices. The new solution has made it possible to restrict access very precisely.

Results

“We have only been using the service for a short time and implementation is still ongoing, but so far, the collaboration has gone very well. We have received quick assistance when we have needed it,” says Mäntylä.

Mäntylä already had experience with similar services, but he appreciates Secure Clouds expertise and support during the trial phase, implementation, and configuration.

“The solution’s ability to restrict certain resources to specific devices and users with different rules has been a positive surprise. Now we can securely restrict access for admin users.”

Mäntylä recommends Secure Clouds SASE solution to companies whose employees work remotely or travel a lot. The solution makes it easy to access the companys on-premise resources.

Future cooperation

According to Mäntylä, information security is a key part of the IT services built for Raisios users. However, he recognizes that there is always room for improvement. The challenge is to strike a balance between usability and information security. Mäntylä believes that the cooperation with Secure Cloud will continue after the current contract period.

“The solution has worked as it should. However, the world is changing rapidly, so the information security situation and the need for new solutions must be reviewed regularly. Secure Clouds product range is comprehensive, and it may become necessary to add new components to the solution at a later date.”
